Ingredients
  

  • 250 Grams Ivy Gourd/ Dondakaya/ Tindora, washed & chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 Tsp Turmeric
  • 3 Tbs Dry coconut or Desiccated coconut
  • 15 Pods Garlic
  • 3 Tsp Chili Powder
  • Coriander for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Start by preparing the coconut-garlic-chili mixture. In a mixer, add the desiccated coconut, garlic, and chili powder. Grind it into a coarse powder and set it aside.
  • In a wok, add 2 tbsp of oil and heat it on medium flame.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the chopped Ivy Gourd and sprinkle salt and turmeric. Mix well and cover the wok with a lid.
  • Cook the Ivy Gourd for 5-7 minutes, stirring it in between to prevent it from sticking to the bottom.
  • Once the Ivy Gourd is cooked, add the coconut-garlic-chili mixture and mix well.
  • Let the dish cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring it occasionally.
  • Garnish the dish with fresh coriander leaves and serve it hot with rice or roti.
