Cluster Beans Fry Recipe: Spicy and Healthy with a Coconut Twist

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 Green chilies, slit
  • 1/4 Tsp Turmeric
  • 1 Tbsp Chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander for garnish
  • 3 Tbsp Grated dry coconut
  • 1 Tbsp Red chili powder
  • 5 Garlic pods

Instructions
 

Preparing the Coconut Chili Powder:

  • Take a blender and add grated dry coconut and red chilli powder.
  • Blend it for a few seconds until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Your coarse coconut chilli powder is now ready to use.

Cooking the Cluster Beans:

  • Wash the cluster beans thoroughly and chop them into small pieces.
  • Take a vessel and add the chopped beans along with enough water to cover them.
  • Bring the water to a boil and cook the beans for 10 minutes. Be careful not to overcook them.
  • Drain the water and set the boiled beans aside.
  • Take a kadai and add oil. Once the oil is hot, add the sliced onions and slit green chilies.
  • Fry the onions and chilies until they turn slightly brown.
  • Add the boiled cluster beans to the kadai and mix well.
  • Add turmeric, chili powder, and salt to taste. Mix well and close the lid.
  • Let the beans cook for 5 minutes.
  • Crush the garlic pods and add them to the kadai. Mix well.
  • Add the prepared coconut chilli powder to the kadai and mix well.
  • Close the lid and let the beans cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Once the beans are cooked, turn off the heat and garnish with fresh coriander.
  • Your delicious cluster beans fry is now ready to serve.
