Wash the chicken thoroughly and add it to a large bowl.
Add salt, chili powder, turmeric, chicken masala (optional), garam masala, ginger garlic paste, and curd to the bowl.
Mix all of the ingredients together until the chicken is evenly coated.
Add 2 tbsp of melted butter and the juice of 1 lime to the bowl and mix well.
Let the marinated chicken sit for 30 minutes.
Take a kadai (or wok) and add 50 grams of butter. Once the butter is slightly hot, add the marinated chicken and mix well.
Close the lid and let the chicken cook for about 15-20 minutes.
Keep stirring the chicken occasionally to make sure it doesn't stick to the bottom or burn.
Once the chicken is cooked, add 5 sliced green chilies and mix well.
Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with parathas or hot rice and dal.
