Warm Up with This Easy and Tasty Pepper Rasam Recipe
Hey there foodies, it's time to spice up your taste buds with my favorite South Indian recipe - Miriyala Charu, also known as Pepper Soup. This soup is not only delicious but also has some amazing health benefits. So, let's get started!

To make the Rasam powder:
- 1 Tbsp Black pepper
- 10 Red Chilies
- 1 Tbsp Cumin
- 1 Tbsp Coriander Seeds
- 10 Garlic Pods
To make the Rasam:
- Tamarind - small lemon size
- 3 Cups Water
- 1/4 Tsp Turmeric
- Salt to taste
- Curry leaves
- Fresh coriander
For Seasoning/Poppu/Tadka:
- 1/2 Tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 Tsp Urad dal
- 3 Dry red chilies
- 5 Garlic pods crushed
- 2 Tbsp Oil
- Fresh curry leaves
- Fresh Coriander for garnish
Making the Rasam:
Heat a deep vessel and add 3 cups of water.
Add tamarind, salt, turmeric, Rasam powder, 4 crushed garlic pods, a few fresh curry leaves and coriander leaves.
Bring it to a boil and then take it off the stove.
Let it sit for a few minutes and then strain it.
Seasoning/Poppu/Tadka:
Take a kadai and add oil.
Once it heats, add urad dal, mustard seeds, and dry red chilies and fry them slightly.
Now, add the curry leaves and crushed garlic pods and fry them for a few seconds.
Pour the strained Rasam into the kadai.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
